Prolific drummer Enock Kamhiriri has set up a recording studio and film production company in the United Kingdom.
Named Healing Hands Recording Studio and Film Production the studio has been specialising in recording gospel artistes and film productions in UK.

Kamhiriri is a former drummer of Hohodza Band, Taso, Mbuya Madhuve and has been playing drums for Thomas Mapfumo, Obert Mazivisa and Jane Doka during some of their shows in the UK.

In an interview, Kamhiriri said he wanted to assist Zimbabweans based in the United Kingdom who have passion for arts.

“We have several artistes here who need to be assisted to achieve their goals in the arts industry,” he said.

The experience he gained while working with several artistes was enough to inspire him to set up a studio.

“As Zimbabweans in the Diaspora we need also to raise the flag of the country high through our art works,” said Kamhiriri.

He has been working with other artistes including Mathias Mhere and Pinael Munatsi on some of their projects.

“I have recorded a single with Mhere and it is expected to be out soon .We wish to work with a number of artistes who are based here and in Zimbabwe so that we keep on improving our industry,” he said.

He is also one of the directors of Rhema Praise a promotional company that has been inviting gospel artistes in UK.

“Art is a form of employment and that explains why I joined Hohodza Band in 1993 when I finished my education,” he said.

Several artistes including Rhoda Tongogara who successfully launched her second album last month, Mazivisa and Rumbi Chikomo have recorded in the studio so far. His wish is to work with different artistes who are into film and music.
