The draw for the raffle run by the World Navi Northern Region Division One league, where two lucky fans will drive away with cars, will be held at Gwanzura tomorrow.

League secretary-general Sweeney Mushonga said the draw will be held at half-time during the Yadah TV Knockout Cup final between Mushowani Stars and Ngezi Platinum.

The raffle will be run in conjunction with the Zimbabwe Red Cross Society.

“As part of the grand occasion, they have roped in Tocky Vybes, who will entertain fans at Gwanzura on Saturday,” Mushonga said.

“There is also another artiste who is coming from Bindura and there could be some other dancehall artistes on show.

“It’s a family show and there will be a great combination of football and music and two people could also win cars. We are confident that we have put together a programme that will bring a lot of people to Gwanzura on Saturday for this grand event and Tocky Vybes has a big following these days wherever he sings.

“Fans will pay $1 to enter the stadium.”

Mushowani Stars captain Zivanai Mhanda is eyeing a successful weekend.

The attacking midfielder, who is among the best eleven players shortlisted for the big award, hopes to steer his side in tomorrow’s Yadah TV Knockout Cup final at Gwanzura against Ngezi Platinum.

“We believe in ourselves and by having two players on the Soccer Stars list means that the team did well and we would like to cap our fine season by winning something,” said Mhanda.

“We worked very hard throughout the whole season.

“The guys want to make history by winning the trophy. We have a solid team.”

The player who will win the Player of the Year award tonight will drive away with a car and will also get a chance for a crack in the J-League in Japan.
