CHICKEN Inn coach Joey Antipas believes his side are in prime shape ahead of the semi-finals of the NetOne Wallet Cup at Mandava this weekend.
The Gamecocks are set to clash with Triangle at Mandava on Saturday in the hope of continuing their recent good run that has seen them record three wins in succession in their recent league outings.
The other semi-final will feature Dynamos and How Mine the following day at the same venue.

Antipas yesterday welcomed the draw and said his team, which had poor returns in the first half of the season, was looking to go all the way to the final.
“I think the draw was fair. Any of the teams in the last four is no easy opposition. But whether we were going to play How Mine or Dynamos, we are ready for it.

“We have to be on our toes always and do everything that we can in terms of preparation ahead of each and every match.
“We need to apply ourselves well so that we try and make it all the way to the finals.

“I believe we are now beginning to get our act together as a team. We are bonding well and we are all looking to maintain the unity.
“Remember we have won three matches on the trot but I believe all that doesn’t count when playing in Cup games, it’s something different altogether.

“In my opinion, Triangle have been doing well but it appears they have been unfortunate in most of the instances that they have been losing games. We have to keep focused,” said Antipas.

The Gamecocks are still reeling from the injuries to the pair of Danny Phiri and Thabani Goredema who scored the goals in the 2-0 victory over Shabanie Mine.
But while Chicken Inn appear to have done their best to boost their confidence ahead of the semi-finals, Triangle will be battling to get the pieces in place following two defeats to giants Dynamos and Highlanders in their last two assignments.

Dynamos, who beat old rivals CAPS United, were the only survivors of the seeded teams after Highlanders, FC Platinum and Harare City failed to make it.
The Harare giants resumed their preparations yesterday afternoon following the return from Triangle where they were 2-1 victors to maintain top spot in the league marathon.

Organisers have pegged the cheapest ticket at US$3 for the rest of the ground.
