LOS ANGELES. — At least 30 people were injured yesterday morning when a Metrolink train collided with a tractor trailer and derailed north-west of Los Angeles, Southern California of the United States.

No fatal casualties were immediately reported after the accident, which occurred in Oxnard at about 5:55am.

The tractor trailer was on the tracks when hit by the train.

Metrolink spokesman Scott Johnson told media that the collision derailed three of the passenger train’s cars.

Fire-fighters rushed to the scene, and the injured passengers were under treatment.

The train was en route from Ventura County to Los Angeles. A 2008 crash of a Metrolink train that travelled the same route killed 25 people and injured 135. — Xinhua.
