The Harare businessman, who was among the fans who cheered DeMbare when they played in Maseru against Lesotho Correctional Services in the last round, said while the Glamour Boys were down, after a 0-3 mauling in Tunisia, they were not out of the Champions League.

Nyatanga said DeMbare should use their home advantage, just the way little LSC tried but failed in Maseru, and turn around this contest.

“When you look at the result it is easy to say that Dynamos are out because they are down 0-3 and that’s a huge disadvantage,” said Nyatanga.
“But nothing can be further from the truth because they now have the advantage of playing at home, on an artificial surface that has proved to be a tricky pitch for a lot of visiting teams, and anything can happen.

“Those who were in Maseru know that it’s different for a team when it’s playing at home and that team actually scored twice and one of their goals was disallowed and they were different from the side that played here.

“In their backyard, they were pumped up, they had their fans to play for, and I hope our guys picked those lessons and, if they did, they can turn the tables against the Tunisian side and actually advance to the next round.

“It’s all about confidence and pride and they know they have the entire country behind them and they simply can’t let us down this time around.”

Nyatanga said all that was needed was a quick goal and the entire picture of this contest would change dramatically with pressure being heaped on the visitors.

“Coach (Callisto) Pasuwa should be telling his boys right now that if they get a goal in the first 10 minutes, or 15 minutes, then it’s game on because, suddenly, they are just two goals down with a lot of time on their hands and if they get another goal, it’s a one-goal game,” said Nyatanga.

“It’s about getting the first goal and getting it early and also ensuring that we don’t concede at home because if we do that it will complicate issues in a very big way.
“But no-one can say that it’s game over, not when we still have 90 minutes to play and when we have home advantage coming our way. “Against Lesotho we scored three goals at home but those guys were an average side and our team, too, had not played many games but we have played some games now and we should find a number of goals at home.”

Nyatanga called on the Dynamos family to be united, especially in such a difficult time, because cracks in their side would be capitalised upon by the opposition.
“When we lost in Lesotho, we had the unfortunate issues of internal problems after the players were left stranded at the airport and that is very bad,” said Nyatanga.

“I was there and I want to say it loud and clear that the vice-chairman of the club, Webster Chikengezha, who was blamed by some people, was not at fault and he carried out his duties as professionally as one can do on such assignments.

“Chikengezha is a good leader and Dynamos need him and my call to them is that they need to be united, especially now when they are down, and I want to thank the club chairman, Kenny Mubaiwa, for displaying good leadership skills when he said he still needed the services of his deputy. “I was disappointed that the leader of the Dynamos delegation, the Zifa councillor, was not even taken to task when he was supposed to be the one in charge of everything.”
