TOP Zimbabwean spinners will tomorrow clash with a team visiting from Zambia during a burn-out event at Mutare Motoring Club. Dubbed the Burnouts For-Real Spinning Festival, the event would be headlined by combined popular spinners from Harare and Mutare, who are expected to clash with top Zambians, who have since arrived in the country.

One of the event organisers, Lovemore Thompson, who will be among the spinners, said Harare’s Ice Motors Crew, Fat Cat Motors, Snap On Crew and Mabhanditi Crew are expected to team up with their counterparts from Mutare.

“This is going to be a big function pitting the Zambian spinners, who are coming to Mutare for the first time. Spinning is now a popular motor sport in the country and as promoters of the sport in Mutare, we want to make sure people will enjoy the burnouts. We also want to take the event to Mutare unlike in the past when people would travel to Harare following the sport,” he said.

Thompson said Clive Jani from Team No Lose is expected to lead the team from Mutare, while Cici Boy from Ice Motors and Isaac Mayors of Fat Cat Motors would be coming from Harare along with other spinners.

“There will be lots of entertainment activities that have been lined up to spice-up the event. We have created an environment suitable for a family outing as we prepare for the crossover into the New Year,” said Thompson.

Clyde Jani of Mutare Team No Lose said they are prepared for the event and urged people to come in their numbers.

“I have since upped my game and I will be performing some daring stunts come Sunday. I have new stunts that I am going to show people of Mutare,” Jani said.

Team Altezza from Mozambique once performed at the same arena this year.
