Zanu-PF to increase visibility

Zanu-PF candidates in Mashonaland East Province have said they will supply supporters with the new regalia in various districts this week to bolster the party’s campaign for the impending harmonised elections. Over the past weeks, party supporters have raised concerns on the delays in the distribution of the new Zanu-PF regalia.

Murehwa North candidate Cde Daniel Garwe said his constituency would need at least 10 000 T-shirts and wrapping cloths for women.

“We have a strong Zanu-PF support base in this constituency and we expect to make sure that once Harare gives us the regalia this week, we commence our distribution exercise.”

Marondera East candidate Cde Patrick Chidhakwa said party supporters in his constituency will this week get Zanu-PF’s latest regalia.

“We will distribute the regalia starting from cell level up to the party’s leadership.
“The grass roots is our top priority since they are drivers of the party’s agenda for 2018,” he said.

Since the launch of the party regalia last month, very few party supporters in the province have been given the regalia.
Some party members are calling for the fair distribution of the regalia among party structures.

Marondera Central candidate Cde Cleopas Kundiona said a distribution system has been crafted to cater for every resident in his constituency.

“This is Zanu-PF territory and it therefore applies that every household will soon be donning the new regalia,” he said. Seke candidate Cde Munyaradzi Kashambe said in the next fortnight, Seke will be painted with Zanu-PF regalia.
