Zanu-PF youths in Mashonaland West have been commended for showing high levels of discipline ahead of this year’s harmonised elections.

Addressing the Kariba youth inter-district meeting last week, provincial youth chairperson Cde Vengai Musengi urged youths to remain resolute.

“I am very proud of the discipline I have witnessed from the inter-district meetings I have officiated so far across the province,” he said.

“I, therefore, call on you to continue with that spirit up to elections, where Zanu-PF is set to witness a resounding victory.”

Provincial youth secretary for transport Cde Langton Runesu called for a united front amongst the youths ahead of the upcoming elections.

“As we head towards a resounding victory as youths, let’s be united and fight for a Zanu-PF win,” he said.

“Go and encourage those who have not yet registered to do so in this Biometric Voter Registration extension.”

Provincial youth political commissar Cde Tapiwa Chitate commended the spirit of tolerance which has been showcased by President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Vice President Retired General Constantino Chiwenga’s visit to MDC-T leader Mr Morgan Tsvangirai, who is ill.

“We urge youths to exercise a spirit of tolerance like what the leadership has done, which is exemplary,” he said.

The youths urged Government to include them in agricultural projects such as farming, livestock and fisheries.

They also want authorities to consider giving them land, especially from farms that are being downsized.

In addition, they are also calling for resources to start income-generating projects.
