trying to arrest her to be intimate with her.
Fatima Chirape (38) of Maravanyika Village under Chief Ndahwi allegedly soiled one of the policeman’s uniforms after she relieved herself in full view of the stunned policemen.
Chirape has since appeared in court facing public indecency and assault charges.
She was not asked to plead when she appeared before Gutu resident magistrate, Mr Amos Mbobo.
Mr Mbobo, however, remanded her out of custody to May 3 this year for trial after she had paid US$20 bail.
The State alleges that on Independence Day, three policemen from Ndahwi Police Base in Gutu visited Chirape at her homestead to investigate the alleged assault case.
Chirape’s husband had reported that his wife beat him the previous day.
When the three policemen arrived at Chirape’s house and asked her to accompany them to the base she agreed but requested permission to change her clothes.
She allegedly stunned the three policemen when she came out of her bedroom naked.
Chirape allegedly dared the three cops to be intimate with her or leave her alone.
The policemen reportedly tried to restrain her but she allegedly relieved herself in their presence and one of the officers had his uniform soiled during the melee.
She was, however, arrested after some fellow villagers pleaded with her to dress up and comply with the policemen’s orders.
Mr Tedious Muchangani appeared for the State.
