Malbereign and the hosts will compete in a round robin tournament.
The tourney will be hosted for the third time this season after Mazowe and Prince Edward played host in the first two editions.
The two schools utilised home advantage to win the tournaments in their backyards.
Westridge will try to become the third hosts to win the tournament. The tourney will be used to select national team players, who are set to play in international tournaments, beginning in July.
Ngonidzashe Mhinda, the badminton national secretary, said they expect intense competition.
“Our aim is to have some leagues for the sport as it has suffered from lack of sponsorship which led it to die a natural death for some time,” said Mhinda.
“So far we have two clubs, which are Axes and Eagle Wings, who are playing a big role in the national set-up.
“We are looking forward to reviving the sport and having some competitions that will see the sport grow.
“The schools have responded well and there is hope for the future, especially the young players who are coming on board and, with more exposure, they will do better.
“We have been thriving to see the sport grow and for now there is progress and if we continue at this rate we will be successful in the near future.” Mhinda said.
