HAVING dominated the Northern Region Division One Soccer League for most of the season, Ngezi Platinum coach Clifton “Somalia” Kadurira says they are not under any pressure as they get closer to winning the championship.

The platinum boys need just six points from the remaining seven games to take their tally to an unassailable 68 points and be crowned champions.

Ngezi Platinum are currently leading the pack with 62 points and even if second-placed ZRP FC, who have 46 points, win all their matches, they will finish the season with 67 points.

Ngezi, who are competing in Division One for the second year, are the favourites to win the title.

In their last seven games, they will take on Starbill, DStv Rangers and Cargo Carriers at home while the other four matches against Blue Swallows, Karoi United, ZRP Morris and Zatex will be away.

They have so far lost one game to Gunners, won 18 and drawn eight.

Kadurira yesterday said he was hopeful they will get the six points needed to get the promotion into the Premiership.

“We have three home games and four away games. But if we look at our statistics we are playing better away from home, maybe it’s because there isn’t much pressure while at home the supporters need you to win at all costs.

“We didn’t lose any away game this year so I think we have an advantage playing both at home and away,” said Kadurira.

The Ngezi Platinum gaffer said they were not under any pressure and will focus more on their games so that their mission to win the title become a reality.

Ngezi Platinum’s remaining seven games: Blue Swallows v Ngezi Platinum (away) Ngezi Platinum v Cargo Carriers (home) Karoi United v Ngezi Platinum (away) Ngezi Platinum v DStv Rangers (home) ZRP Morris v Ngezi Platinum (away) Ngezi Platinum v Starbill (home) Zatex v Ngezi Platinum (away)
