LONDON — Arsene Wenger accused his underachieving Arsenal stars of lacking passion and desire during a fiery training ground inquest into their shambolic 3-2 defeat against Olympiacos.

The Arsenal manager, under mounting pressure following a second successive defeat in the group stage of the Champions League soccer, criticised his players for their work-rate, intensity and attitude.

Wenger rarely raises his voice with the players, but they were left in no doubt during their usual debrief at London Colney that he expects them to raise their standards following the shocking nature of the defeat.
