STYLEWEEK Jamaica 2015 runways will feature a dizzying array of the best local designers showcasing their spring/summer 2016 collections. The annual event runs from May 20 to 24 in the Corporate Area.

“Styleweek Jamaica is a carefully curated showcase of the best from Jamaica’s fashion industry. There is nothing like it and this uniqueness augurs well for the designers. Brand Jamaica’s fashion DNA is manifested on the world-stage,” said Deiwght Peters, CEO of Saint International and conceptualiser of StyleWeek Jamaica.

A global cast including designers from Paris, London and New York will join local flag-bearers including Courtney Washington, Spokes Apparel will join Avant Garde Designer champions TNT Fashions by Simone Gordon, Kurt Campbell, and Gregory H.O.D Williams. Other brands include Nina Knitwear, Elan, Pebbles King.

Peters said the event proves a most potent sales platform for the designers.

The fashion extravaganza will feature a dynamic mix of private receptions, glitzy runway shows, after-parties, photo-shoots, and beach excursions.

Fashionblock, the spectacular grand finale will unfold on Knutsford Boulevard on Sunday, May 24. This event is free to the public to witness the fashion spectacle in the middle of our city streets. – Jamaicaobserver.
