TRIANGLE defender Norman Togara has warned his former team Dynamos that they face a huge test of their championship credentials when they come to Gibbo tomorrow for a key Castle Lager Premiership tie.
DeMbare, who shot back to the summit of the table last week, are seeking to consolidate their place as the contest at the top gets explosive ith second – placed Harare City hunting for maximum points at Black Rhinos at Rimuka tomorrow.

Highlanders, who also have a strong say in the destiny of the championship, have what appears to be an easy task away at relegated Motor Action and could find themselves back at the top again come tomorrow evening.
Dynamos and Harare City are tied on 48 points while Highlanders have 47 points.

FC Platinum, who travel to Chicken Inn, are also in the picture, with 45 points in the bag, and might provide an extra twist to the show.
Dynamos are beginning life without their defensive stalwart, Partson Jaure, who starts a two – match suspension after being sent off during the league match against Highlanders at Barbourfields last Sunday.

Jaure, though, could face a lengthy ban, which is likely to extend beyond the two games, with the PSL summoning him to appear before their disciplinary committee for charging at referee Thabani Bamala.

Chances are that, with Zifa calling for the PSL to be firm in their handling of the Jaure case, he could be out for the rest of the season.
Togara, a former Dynamos defender, yesterday said the Harare giants should brace for a tough game as Triangle are currently enjoying a purple patch.

Gishon Ntini’s side, which last tasted defeat in the 3-1 loss to Buffaloes on July 20, has had a quiet but impressive run of eight games without loss to make up for a poor start which almost cost the outspoken coach his job.

Togara said since they have thrived on the underdog tags which has helped them to land on sixth position with 38 points in the table.  “People often make a mistake as they look down on the name Triangle since the team is new in the Premiership. Of course, the team may have been in the league for one season but we have some good and experienced players.

“In fact, if you look at our squad we have more experienced players to match or even surpass them.
“It was unfortunate we started the season slowly but now it appears our team is now well oiled,” said Togara.

Triangle are in high spirits following their recent run in which they scored 11 goals and conceded one in the 4-0 win over Monomotapa, 2-1 win over FC Platinum and the recent 5-0 thrashing of relegated Tripple B.

Triangle forced a goalless draw against Dynamos at Rufaro early in the season and they will again be looking forward to some of their in-form players like Pasca Manhanga, Charles Makoto, Lameck Nhamo, Limited Chikafa and Misheck Mburayi.

Former Motor Action and Highlanders striker Mburayi has hit top form since he moved to the Lowveld in the middle of the season and has scored six times in the last 10 matches to take his tally to 10 goals.

Togara is also hoping to feature in this match but will have to pass a fitness test as he was racing against time battling a nagging ankle injury.

Midfielder Brian Juwayeyi, whose late father Austin “Masebho” Juwayeyi was one of the early stars of the Premiership when it was rebranded in 1993, Blessing Chimwamuchere and Tinei Meda are also doubtful with knee injuries.
Muchineripi Muneri will sit out to serve his suspension after accumulating three yellow cards.

DeMbare on the other hand should have a strong squad as they have no serious injury concerns in their camp. The Harare giants dramatically turned the odds in their favour last week when they beat championship rivals Highlanders 1-0 at Barbourfields to take pole position in the race.

Togara said they expect a tough game but they were not scared by DeMbare’s profile.
“I have played for Dynamos before and I know they always operate under pressure from the start of the season up to the end.
“But the thing is they always find ways to cope with that and they even lift the gear up under difficult circumstances.

“We are prepared for them. We know they are coming here aiming to win since they are chasing the championship, which means more pressure for them and not for us.

“I think we have done quite well so far and now it’s possible we can do even better and finish on a good position, probably in the top four and make Triangle proud.

“We must also not forget that the festive season is now approaching and most of us football players we make more from the winning bonuses.

It’s an added incentive,” said Togara. Dynamos captain Murape Murape said they are trying to keep level heads in the home stretch.
The Glamour Boys will miss Jaure and it’s a situation that coach Callisto Pasuwa must deal with.

He will have to choose between Victor Kamhuka and Sydney Linyama to partner Gift Bello in central defence.
Kamhuka was impressive when he came in as a replacement for Jaure with a solid performance, in a pressure game, which must have made his coach proud.

Dynamos are chasing for a third straight championship under Pasuwa, which could also be the club’s 20th league success story.
The Glamour Boys technical are likely to maintain the core of the team that won last week against Highlanders.

Murape said it was important for them to concentrate the whole 90 minutes to avoid an upset at Gibbo.
“On paper Triangle are easy opponents but we should not take them that lightly. In fact we need to keep focus the whole 90 minutes.
“We have a good coach and we are not worried much about Gishon Ntini and what he says because it’s not him who plays but his players,” said Murape.

Midfielder Cliff Sekete was impressive when he was introduced in the second half and could be promoted into the starting XI but, given he plays wide on the right, where Murape is preferred, it’s likely that Pasuwa is likely to go for experience rather than adventure.
