MANCHESTER. — Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed he has a vision that Manchester United will win the English Premiership soccer title this season. And the Swedish star says United already have the look of champions for real – after just two games.

Super-confident Ibrahimovic is on fire with a double on his home debut against Southampton lifting the roof off Old Trafford and taking his Premier League tally to three.

And he warned United’s rivals they could all be playing for second place with himself and the rest of Jose Mourinho’s stars set to get even better as the season unfolds.

“I believe that we can win the title, I have this vision,” said Zlatan. “But we need to work hard for it and we will do everything to bother all the other teams that want to win.

“Now I’m just focusing on trying to help my team win and after two games we have two wins, which is the most important thing.

“Who scores is less important, as long as we are winning. Yes, I’ve scored three goals so far in the Premier League and I’m happy for that but it is only the beginning. The season is long, I will work hard, the team will work hard and slowly we will get better and better so let’s see what the outcome will be.”

The striker (34), a free signing after leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season, is already becoming an iconic figure at Old Trafford in the mould of Eric Cantona and Cristiano Ronaldo.

His goals, swagger and instant appreciation of United’s rich history and tradition has made him an immediate fans’ favourite.

And although he’s in the twilight of his career, Ibrahimovic has vowed to improve as he settles into his new life in Manchester. He said: “I feel I am becoming better with every day that goes by. And as long as I feel I can develop, I’m happy.”

He already feels a bond with the fans – and claimed the atmosphere at United surpasses his experience at Barcelona, PSG, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus and Ajax.

“The supporters at United are amazing and I have this feeling in every game that I’ve played that they are the 12th player on the field,” he added. “I’ve played in many countries and many big teams and the supporters here are something else.” — The Mirror.
