Thamary Gwatidzo aka “Tatiana Boss Lady”

For many, hanging one’s clothes every time one gets into the office to display the canvas that is your skin is hardly an option.

In short, that trade would be shameful. Right?

Well speak for yourself, says Thamary Gwatidzo; an erotic dancer who found an opening in the art of erotic dancing and has not looked back ever since.

For Thamary Gwatidzo it is a different story. No job or career is defined as shameful.

“Growing up I had always known that I want to be a musician and a dancer but instead of following that path after finishing writing my fourth year exams while carrying a baby I went on to do a nurse’s aide course,” she said.

At 20, Thamary dropped out of college and went on to pursue what she loved the most, dancing.

That was the beginning of her new career as an exotic dancer or what people may call “stripper” at the famous adult entertainment joint Private Lounge.

Under her stage identity “Tatiana Boss Lady”, she boasts of being well paid; earning a decent living for herself and her son with the support of her parents and boyfriend.

With family like that, who could have a care in the world? The upside for the boyfriend perhaps is he doesn’t need to buy her many clothes to pamper her since she works in her birthday suit!

“My family is very proud of me and what I do, I encourage all parents to stop confusing their children when it comes to talent instead they should support them. I am happy that mine support me.

“Watch the space in five years I will fulfil the name Tatiana Boss Lady by helping the poor and those who do not know what they want in life through teaching them to believe in themselves as I believed in myself,” she says. Her sultry voice oozing sex appeal and confidence!

Unashamed of people who label her as a sex worker because of the nature of her work, Tatiana does not even turn her head to such assumptions she says she is focused on the betterment of her life.

The 25-year-old dancer was not satisfied with exotic dancing only. She dropped her clothes and took out her book of lyrics which she has been jotting down and hiding away from the public eye.

She went into the recording studio, picked up the microphone and worked on a few tracks. The result was that she released a music video entitled “For You” which she collaborated with her producer Lui Vee.

“The video is gaining lots of traffic on You Tube, I am looking forward to airplay on radio and on screen.

“Every minute of my time counts. When I am off duty at the club, I go to the studio to work on my music because I am planning to make history after launching my first album in the future.

“So far I have finished working on six songs — a mixture of Hip Hop, R’n’B and a dash of dancehall on a selected few; in all of them I sing about life and love,” she added.

With the blessing of her bosses at Private Lounge Tatiana sometimes uses music from her personal discography for stage acts and she says that so far it has been embraced by her audience.

Private Lounge has over the years weaned dancers who have gone out to form their own dance groups or bands and Tatiana is following suit. Well, minus the suit . . . literally!
