The dollarisation life now experienced in Zimbabwe has become a threat to teenagers whose lifespan has been cut short, a survey by Cool Lifestyle can reveal.
A study conducted by Cool Lifestyle in the capital shows that life of teenagers countrywide is been cut short because of the higher purchasing power of the United States dollar and the South African rand respectively.

The survey shows that most teenagers are now getting into relationships for the sake of money.
This is caused by poverty, true to say.
These days most of the teenagers especially girls, if not all, are seen to be very much interested in these posh cars that are been driven by the sugar daddies.

The sugar daddies use cash as the worm to catch the fish, and the fish in this case are the teenage girls.
“I think parents should play a pivotal role in educating the child rather than to wait for  schoolteachers to do everything.
“We are tired of the awareness campaigns as we all know what is happening but as they say show me a friend and I will tell you a character, meaning that we have a job to do in this issue,” explained Tatenda Maponga from Bindura, who spoke on dollarisation impact on teens during career expo seminar last weekend.

She further highlighted that if this issue is not taken seriously, the teens will be destroyed hence no future generation.
“Who doesn’t want money? We all want it but it should be put to good use,” she said.

Another student from a school in the high-density suburbs said dollarisation has brought more harm than good .
From the survey it can be concluded that the teens are digging their own graves by engaging in sexual activities at an early age more over with sugar daddies putting their lives at risk of getting HIV and nasty STIs.

Teenagers must not put themselves in danger of getting HIV and Aids by engaging in early sexual activities.
