In a shift of events, a Believe in God Ministries pastor who accused a Seke man and a policeman of working in cahoots to extort him of his vehicle worth US$14 000 is now in serious trouble. Tables were turned against pastor Victor Majere (30) of Unit M, Chitungwiza after Felix Benza (32) of Chitsvatsva Village whom he accused of extorting him in a botched stand deal was acquitted of the charges.

Chitungwiza magistrate Mr Kudakwashe Jarabini is expected to hand pastor Majere his ruling today after Benza reported fraud charges against him.

However, Benza denied fraud charges before the same magistrate when his trial started and was acquitted after a full trial
The prosecutor Mr Edmond Ndambakuwa told the court that Benza teamed up with his friend, a policeman, Constable Nhango based at Borrowdale Police Station in Harare to approach Majere.

Allegations were that they stormed Majere’s house on October 6 last year with the intention of solving the matter.
Cst Nhango was alleged to have taken Majere to Chitungwiza police cells where he detained him giving Benza time to see him over the transaction.

Benza allegedly advised Majere to surrender his vehicle a Jeep Cherokee to seal the deal and threatened to chop off his head if he made any follow up.
