SYDNEY. — Yesterday, a group of Syrian expatriates in Australia expressed support for incumbent President Bashar al-Assad who is seeking re-election.
The crowd held banners and placards in support of Assad.
They also signed a pro-Assad petition which will be sent to the High Constitutional Court of Syria.

The expatriates also symbolically voted for their preferred president. Syrian people will go to the polls on June 3 to choose their president amid violence that has ravaged their country for more than three years.

This is while, Syrian expats are deprived of their right to vote in some countries like Australia since the Syrian Embassy there has been forced to close down since 2012. With just two days left to the historic presidential poll in Syria, the world’s attention is focused on the Arab nation. — Press TV.
