Swimming team for  CANA Zone IV named

ZIMBABWE have named a 38-member swimming team to represent the country at the upcoming CANA Zone IV Championships in Zambia next month.

The championships are due to take place from April 14 to 18 in Lusaka.

A total of 13 countries — Angola, Comoros, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Eswatini, Zimbabwe and Zambia are expected to compete.

Zimbabwe’s team is made up of 38 swimmers — 21 girls and 17 boys,

They will compete in four age-groups — 11/12, 13/14, 15/16 and 17 and Over.

The five-day competition will see participants competing in all distances including team relays. The team will be led by coaches Lindsy Tudor-Cole and Mike Ranken.

Zanele Nkomazana is the team manager.

Girls 13/14

Boys 13/14

Girls 15/16

Vhenekai Dhemba, Kiara Goodinson, Mkhuseli Mahobele, Matida Musere, Saira Ramajan.

Boys 15/16

Nigel Madziyire, Bjorn Mhlanga, Paul Mwipikeni, Onesimus Ngwenya, Andile Mhlope.

Girls 17 and Over

Tanatsirwa Chitsurura, Donata Katai, Chinyere Mgbemena, Riana Rollo, Timea Schultz.

Boys 17 and Over
