After weeks of poor turnouts, more people decided to have fun at last weekend’s shows with the Mi Casa concert at Old Georgians Club and “Reggae/Dancehall Bandfest” at Cresta Lodge quite crowded.
The only notable show that did not meet expectations was the Harare Gardens gospel affair headlined by Pastor Charles Charamba and Mathias Mhere.

In recent weeks, shows have been cancelled due to rains but it seems the dry weather Zimbabwe has been experiencing over the past week has spurred show attendances.

Besides it being a mid-month weekend, many people went out to have fun.
Even the comparatively high entrance fees of between US$15 to US$20 at the Mi Casa show did not deter merrymakers.
The crowd enjoyed every minute when the group took to the stage. It was an amazing performance from Mi Casa.

At Cresta Lodge, the youthful crowd waited patiently for the gig to start.
The much-hyped show, however, ended earlier than the party goers wanted after police stopped the gig, admittedly as late as 3am, after Eastlea and Greendale residents complained about the noise.

Only Dhadza D, Nadine Brown, Mic Inity and a few others had performed while King Shaddy, Freeman and Guspy Warrior failed to take to the stage after the organisers were forced to end the show earlier than scheduled.

Elsewhere,  a bumper crowd turned up at Lake Chivero. It was a rare sight as ladies in “hot pants” took turns to cool themselves.
However, it was not the case with the Harare Gardens gospel show where just a handful of people turned out for the event.

Despite the show being headlined by the celebrated gospel artistes, it proved to be a yawn attracting less than 300 revellers.
Children who graced the show enjoyed the free space that was available as they could be seen running up and down chasing Ajigija the Clown all over the venue.
