ZIMBABWE Cricket will have the services of a South African security agency for the forthcoming tour of Pakistan, the organisation’s managing director for cricket affairs, Alistair Campbell, has revealed.

“We are guided by South Africa’s Nicholls Steyn and Associates for this (Pakistan) tour,” said Campbell.

The Johannesburg-based company has undertaken many challenging tasks for the international teams.

In 2008, Robert Nicholls and his team played a pivotal role in saving 150 lives from the terrorists who had laid siege to the Mumbai’s Taj Mahal hotel.

The company was hired to look after the teams for the Champions League in India.

A few members of the Zimbabwe Cricket board will land in Lahore today to oversee the arrangements for the two Twenty20 games and three ODIs to be played from May 22 to 31.

“Myself, chairman (Wilson Manase), manager (Chris Chiketa) and a player representative will be in Pakistan for a few days to finalise the things”, Campbell added.

Barbara Holcroft, the executive assistant at NSA, confirmed they will provide security services for the Zimbabweans.

“Tinus Barnard will be the security consultant for the players. This will be our first trip to Pakistan after the terror attacks (on Sri Lankan team) in 2009”.
