South African jazz crooner Ringo Madlingozi arrived in Harare last night and immediately ruled out a collaboration with superstar Oliver Mtukudzi. He feels he needs to create synergies with other artistes and singled out ex-Project Fame finalist Kudzai Sevenzo as a priority.“Expect fireworks all the way. I didn’t want to come before the release of my new album but  I have to do it for my Zimbabwean fans,” he said before he was whisked away from the Harare International Airport.

Ringo is part of the “Thank You Zimbabwe” gig scheduled for tonight at Andy Millar Hall. The gig also features the likes of Mtukudzi, Jah Prayzah and Winky D.
