FORMER champions Black Rhinos Queens shot to the top of the league of the Zimbabwe Women’s Super League for the first time this season after they beat Chipembere Queens 6-1 at Mkoba on Saturday.

They took advantage of the inactivity of champions Herentals, who slipped into second position as they had a bye at the weekend.

The two rivals are the only teams that are still unbeaten in the Zimbabwe Women’s Super League after four rounds of matches.

Rhinos’ veteran striker Christabel Katona grabbed a hattrick while Daisy Kaitano, Shylene Magarira and Felistas Muzongondi scored a goal each in the big win over Chipembere on Saturday.

In fact, Black Rhinos Queens continued from where they left last weekend when they gave Harare City Queens a 5- 0 hiding.

In Zvishavane, debutants Platinum Royals registered their biggest victory when they hammered fellow newcomers Shine Shine 10 -1.

Royals forward Follostanzia Mutunzi scored five goals while the other five came from Shamaine Kapachi, Rutendo Madongorere, Charity Karuru, Mildred Magwa and Ropafadzo Madoromadi, who grabbed a goal each.

Correctional Queens won the battle of service teams when they beat Air Force of Zimbabwe side Chapungu Queens 0 – 1.

Chapungu got into this match coming from a 9 – 0 victory against Shine Shine last weekend. But they fell to a solitary goal by Correctional Queens veteran midfielder Marjoury Nyaumwe.

The Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional side bounced back to winning ways after losing to champions Herentals 1-0 last week.

Conduit Soccer Academy shared the spoils with Maningi Youth in a 1-1 affair.
