VETERAN Zimbabwean golfers Nick Price and Tony Jonhstone, who are also the President’s Cup captains, returned to the field for the Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach in Monterey Peninsula, California, United States, late yesterday.The Zimbabwean legendary golfers were expected to tee off in the US$1.8 million tournament which has a winning share of US$270 000.

Price last week took part in the Pacific Links Hawaii Championship where he finished on position 70 while Jonhstone took a break.
However, it is Jonhstone who, a fortnight ago, had a decent finish at the Winston Golf Senior Open at Vorbet in Germany.

The Zimbabwean was tied on position nine after the three rounds, which he carded an impressive 71, 67 and 69. Johnstone finished the event tied with Bob Cameron of England. Jonhstone was expected to tee off in the first ball at the tenth tee at 7:30 am.

He was to play alongside Americans Brian Henninger and Tom Lehnam as well as J. K. Kim. Former world number one Price was expected to follow at 8:25am playing with Garry Hallberg, Bruce Fleisher, and Dan Forsman.

The field also boost of another Zimbabwe-born player Mark McNulty, who played behind Price from the tenth hole.
