THE Pakistan Cricket Board have agreed with their Zimbabwean counterparts to have their cricket tour at the end of September. ZC chairman Wilson Manase yesterday confirmed Pakistan will tour Zimbabwe from September 24 to October 5. The tour will comprise three Twenty20 and three One-Day International matches.

It will start with the Twenty20 matches from September 26-30 followed by the One-Day International matches going into the first weekend of October.

“We have dealt with the tour outline with my PCB counterpart Shahryar Khan. The management of our respective boards will now continue to fine-tune the tour schedule,” said Manase.

Zimbabwe and Pakistan made a bilateral agreement after the Chevrons visited the volatile Asian country for a historical series in May this year, opening the gates of international cricket to Pakistan after a lapse of six years.

Manase said he was also talking to his West Indies Cricket Board counterpart to see what they can do about the West Indies tour to Zimbabwe, given the new Pakistan tour dates.

Zimbabwe are looking to play a lot of competitive cricket this year with a date against New Zealand next week.

They have just come from hosting India, just weeks after returning home from Pakistan.
