NGEZI PLATINUM are making a big statement in the early stages of the 2018 Castle Lager Premiership race after they won their third straight game yesterday to maintain their 100 percent start to the marathon.

Coach Tonderai Ndiraya’s men edged fading Harare giants Dynamos 1-0 at Baobab yesterday and they are now unbeaten in 28 league matches in their backyard.

They have only lost once in their fortress in 32 league matches since Ndiraya arrived to take over as the coach of the side.

In a battle between the platinum giants and their Harare rivals, FC Platinum also escaped with a point from the National Sports Stadium after holding CAPS United to a goalless draw.

The Zvishavane side are yet to beat Makepekepe in the capital but they celebrated this hard-earned point which saw them take their tally to seven points from three matches while the Green Machine slipped to their third straight draw and are winless in the league this season.

Yadah Stars, who crashed to a 0-2 defeat at the hands of FC Platinum in their last match, bounced back in style with an impressive 3-1 demolition of Black Rhinos at Rufaro yesterday.

With club owner Prophet Walter Magaya in the crowd, in a rare appearance when his side are playing, the Yadah Stars players were an inspired lot and led 2-0 before settling for a 3-1 win.

Harare City continued to impress after picking up a point at Ascot against Chapungu and Mark Harrison’s men are also unbeaten in their three matches in which they have drawn two and won one.
