DYNAMOS coach Tonderai Ndiraya is praying that last weekend’s Castle Lager Premiership football break will not affect his troops’ rhythm as they make a tricky away trip to Tenax at Vengere on Sunday.

The DeMbare gaffer believes that his team has turned the corner after picking up four points in the last two games.

And his team has also been boosted by the recovery of key players Ralph Kawondera, King Nadolo and Shadreck Nyahwa although defender Frank Makarati is still sidelined with a knock.

“It has been a bit difficult in the sense that we had to go on an important break and we hope that the break has not broken the rhythm that we had picked up as a team, we were in a very difficult phase and we were slowly getting out of that phase and then came the break so we don’t know how it is going to turn out,” said Ndiraya.

“We are preparing very well, but the breaks are difficult in the sense that you may lose form, you may lose the rhythm and you may lose everything that you may have built so we will see how it turns out on Sunday when we face Tenax.

“But so far the training has been good, of course, the break was also on a positive note, giving us time to work on a few things that we needed to work on, and hopefully we can continue to do what we were doing before the break,” Ndiraya said.

Despite beating the prisons and correctional side Tenax in Harare earlier in the season, Ndiraya says the league’s newboys’ are a difficult side more so in their backyard at Vengere.

“It was difficult for us in the last match but we hope to go there, pick up the momentum that we had before the break and get a good result. It is a difficult stadium in Vengere, I think you have heard so many coaches complaining about the surface there, but there is nothing we can do about it.

“We have tried to train in those conditions here, hopefully, we can adjust quickly and get the result and as they say, the result is the most important thing at the end of the day,” Ndiraya said.

“Generally every match is a difficult match. It is a difficult match for us because of one contrasting issue, we are second on the log fighting from the other end of the log and Tenax second from the bottom so that really puts pressure on the team in general because naturally, people expect us to stream roll or get a good result a win for that matter against Tenax, so that’s what really makes the match difficult,” he said.

“We have to be prepared psychologically from our end to overcome all those obstacles, and hopefully we can be strong and try and turn things around at Vengere.’’

Dynamos welcome back some of their keys players that were injured.

“We are good, we are preparing and we have one more session to go before the game and so far it has been good but again we have been picking up injuries along the way but, of course, we also have some players who are coming back.

“We have King Nadolo who is back, Ralph Kawondera, who is back, and Shadreck Nyahwa, are also coming back slowly. We are also happy that the break gave time for some of our players to recover from the injuries that they had.

“Naturally as Dynamos, we don’t play easy matches, all the games that we play are difficult for obvious reasons, the most popular and arguably biggest club in the country, so small teams would want to come and give it their all.”
