THE National Football Association of Zimbabwe are going full throttle with their programmes and will soon appoint committees to run their various portfolios.

Committees are the branches that run football associations.

And NAFAZ board member Piraishe Mabhena said the time had come for them to appoint the various committees.

“Further to our conversation, there is need to make new appointments on the sub-committees considering that we are now in a new association and the composition of the board has changed significantly,” Mabhena wrote to NAFAZ president Philip Chiyangwa.

“Please also note that I shall also propose some committees not covered by our constitution as the constitutions allows us to add committees as we deem necessary.

“Ideally, each member of the Executive Committee (except the president) should chair at least one committee which include;

1. Finance

2. Referees

3. Competitions

4. Technical and Development

5. High Performance

6. Human Resources

7. Audit

8. Marketing and Public Relations

9. Women Football

10. Futsal and Beach Soccer

11. Sports Medicine

12. Player Status

13. Constitutional Review

“(The High Performance, Human Resources and Constitutional Review Committees) are ad-hoc committees which can be created if we think we need them.

“Also note that audit and constitutional committees should be chaired by non-executive members.”

Mabhena said the judicial bodies should also be appointed.

“We also need to re-appoint the judicial bodies, i.e. disciplinary, appeals, ethics.”
