Mothers with a disability receive self-defence training Wilfred Mashaya

THE Ministry of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation in conjunction with the Zim Ninja Academy have introduced self-defence training to girls and mothers with albinism and those with a disability.

Zim Ninja Academy led by Wilfred Mashaya have partnered with the Ministry and drilling persons with a disability and albinism is part of the pact.

This afternoon, Mashaya took girls and mothers with a disability and albinism through the paces as part of the Mother’s Day commemorations.

Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation permanent secretary Thokozile Chitepo said her Ministry will continue to create opportunities for the development of mothers in general and those with a disability in particular.

“We have decided to host this special event specifically for you today in recognition of the dual and special role you play in the society,” she said.

“Our Ministry National Strategy goals seek to improve service delivery by Ministries, Agencies and Parastatals and as such, the department seeks to address the set outputs and outcomes.”

Zim Ninja Academy director Wilfred Mashaya said his organisation will continue imparting self-defence training to mothers across the country.
