BLOEMFONTEIN. — Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande caused quite a stir when he described articles about President Jacob Zuma and his Nkandla homestead as “white man’s lies”.
Nzimande was quoted in The Witness as saying the reporting on Nkandla was meant to demean President Zuma.
According to a report by Die Burger the EFF is attracting some of the DA’s black voters.

DA Western Cape leader Theuns Botha was quoted as saying most of the EFF’s black voters came from the DA.
He expressed concern that the EFF might determine the outcome of the elections in Gauteng.

Bruce Rice from Pondering Panda on Tuesday predicted that 25 percent of young South Africans will vote for Julius Malema to be the leader of the country.
Staying with the DA, the party released a no holds barred TV ad that quickly gained online popularity. By 3pm the video had about 15 000 views on Youtube. The video was released in an open letter by the DA yesterday.

In KZN agriculture MEC Meshack Radebe said, in the presence of president Zuma, that people taking grants, but voting for the opposition, are stealing from the ANC.
“If you are in the opposition, you are like a person who comes to my house, eats my food and then insults me,” he said.

President Zuma urged political parties in KZN to work with the IEC to ensure elections in that part of the country can take place peacefully.
On Tuesday, Beeld reported parliament would set up an ad hoc committee to consider Public Protector Thuli Madonsela’s report on Nkandla. Yesterday, however, it still couldn’t be confirmed whether this was the case.

“Parliament will make an announcement in this regard when there are developments further to our last communication,” Parliament spokesperson Luzuko Jacobs said in an e-mail sent to Sapa. — Sapa.
