In a story headlined, “Plan to get Indian vaccines underway”, published in yesterday’s issue, we erroneously reported that the 75 000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines from India were worth US$1 million.

The correct position is that the vaccines are being donated by India and Zimbabwe will not pay for them. The US$1 million relates to medicines, including for Covid-19 treatment, gifted to Zimbabwe by India last year. We therefore sincerely apologise to Indian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Vijay Khanduja and the Indian government for the error. Editor.
