REIGNING Mr Manicaland Classic, Blessing “CC Banks” Sithole, is confident of defending his title in today’s show at Golden Peacock, in Mutare.

The hulk, fresh from winning a gold medal at the Arnolds Classic over the weekend, is back home.

He has now set his sights on successfully defending the title he won, back in 2019.

“I am going to take part in the Manicaland Classic, where I am looking forward to successfully defending my title,’’ said Sithole.

‘‘I think it is just going to be another normal Saturday, where I will remain focused and crush every opponent, who steps onto that stage.

“I want to remain Mr Manicaland Classic champion as I have been working hard, throughout the lockdown, knowing fully well that the sport was going to return one day.’’

He said the resumption of sports activities was a huge boost for all athletes.

“The resumption of sport has made it possible for us to train, and also to go about our business, as I am a certified personal trainer at Country Club Gym Grip in Newlands,’’ he said.

“It also gave us the opportunity to get back to work as it is one of my sources of income.

‘‘I believe that there is tough competition.’’

The contest is expected to attract most of the top athletes in the country.

The athletes will battle it out in the Senior Men Bodybuilding Open, Men’s Physique Open, Junior Men Bodybuilding up to 23 years, Men’s Fitness Open and Women Bikini Fitness Open.
