Sikhumbuzo Moyo in BULAWAYO
LEGENDARY footballer and coach Madinda Ndlovu is 360 minutes away from winning his third straight Botswana B-Mobile Soccer League title.
Ndlovu, a Highlanders legend, won back to back league titles with Mochudi Centre Chiefs in the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons before dumping them for Township Rollers.

Township Rollers are enjoying a three-point lead at the top with four games before the season ends after recording 15 wins, nine draws and just two losses.

Second-placed Botswana Defence Forces have 51 points following their 2-1 weekend loss to Extension Gunners while Khathazile’s boys chocked up a 1-1 draw to Botswana Meat Commission.

Speaking from his base in Botswana yesterday, the former Warriors player and coach said pressure was mounting on his boys but remained focused.

“We are concentrating on the remaining games, it’s getting tight,” said Ndlovu who continues to shine in the Botswana league after he was crowned the elite Mascom Top Eight Award Number One Coach on Thursday after winning the tournament with his club.
He is also the reigning Botswana B-Mobile Coach of the Year and is the odds-on favourite to land it again this year.

Meanwhile, former AmaZulu strongman Costa Nhamoinesu’s Czech Republic side, Sparta Praha have opened up an eight point lead at the top of the standings with eight games to go before the end of the season.

Nhamoinesu, a regular in the squad, remains one of the few Zimbabwean players enjoying game time with a top European side but has constantly been snubbed on numerous national team call-ups.
