Man up for stealing stray cattle

Freedom Mupanedemo Midlands Bureau

A Gweru man who teamed up with two accomplices armed with machetes and knobkerries before taking away some stray cattle kept at a neighbour’s home has been arraigned before a Gweru magistrate on stock theft charges.

Tawanda Sithole (37) denied the charges of stealing five beasts while threatening to attack the keeper, when he appeared before Gweru magistrate, Mr Edwin Marecha.

He was remanded to June 24 on free bail.

Sithole’s two other accomplices whose names were not given in court are still at large.
