A Chitungwiza senior citizen yesterday left the court dumbfounded after he accused his 62-year-old wife of having too many boyfriends. Rodwell Motsi bared it  all before Chitungwiza Civil Court magistrate Ms Marehwanazvo Gofa. He claimed his wife, Judith Dhombo, had an insatiable appetite for sex.

“I have two wives. The respondent (Judith) is promiscuous and she is troublesome,” he said.
This was after Judith approached the courts accusing Motsi of abuse.

“I am seeking a protection order against my husband. He harasses and beats me up in front of my grandchildren. We are old people and because of our ages, it is improper for us to insult each other in front of children,” said Dhombo.

Dhombo claimed Motsi gave her a divorce token when she reported him to the police.
She said her husband accuses her of infidelity.

“He says I have many boyfriends and he does not allow me to go to our fields claiming that I have a bed there that I use to sleep with them,” fumed Dhombo.

Motsi admitted to the allegations saying that the problem started as a result of his wife’s promiscuity.
He said his wife was having an affair with another man.

Ms Gofa granted the protection order.
