BLACK Mambas coach Thulani Sibanda says his team is geared for a tough battle in tomorrow’s Yadah TV Knock-out Cup match against prison side Flame Lilly in Chinhoyi.
The match was initially pencilled in for Pfupajena but had to be moved to Chinhoyi after Chegutu West Member of Parliament Dexter Nduna ordered the Northern Region Division One leadership to allow fans free entrance to watch the tie.

The police side are coming from defeat in their last match against DStv Rangers and tomorrow’s game presents them with an opportunity to redeem themselves.

Sibanda said they were treating the game just like any other match and were not worried about the results as they were looking beyond tomorrow’s encounter.

“We don’t have any pressure, we will just stick to what we do. We will just accept any result that comes our way.,” he said.

Their counterparts, Flame Lilly, will be out to prove a point after going down 0-1 to Gunners last weekend in a league game at Lafarge.

And they come in as the favourites in this cup game considering their performance at the moment.

The winner between the two teams will clash with Ngezi Platinum, who booked their place in the semi-finals when they beat Bindura United two weeks ago.

The tournament is being sponsored to a tune of US$30 000 and the finals will be played on October 25 at Lafarge with the winners walking away with US$8 000.
