Liverpool dump Balotelli Mario Balotelli

LIVERPOOL. — Mario Balotelli has finally been told — bluntly — that his Liverpool career is well and truly over.

Kop boss Jurgen Klopp revealed on Tuesday that he has sat down with the controversial Italian and explained he needs to leave so he can rediscover the talent that once made him one of the world’s best strikers. Super Mario — a £16million buy in summer 2014 who has scored ONE Premier League goal, and three in total, for the club — has returned to Anfield after a 12-month loan stint with AC Milan, where he spectacularly failed to live up to his name.

He has 12 months remaining on his deal and arrived back in England vowing to claim a Kop future under Klopp, but the German revealed he has firmly dismissed that notion.

Klopp said: “With a lot of players it is not the moment to talk of transfers as it could kill all talks by saying someone was 70 per cent to sign him or whatever.

“But I can talk of Mario because that one is obvious and I have spoken to him about this. He’s not at the stage of his career where he should be battling with four or five other players for one or two positions. — The Mirror.
