AFTER months of speculation, Kwesé TV have confirmed they will televise the upcoming 2018 Fifa World Cup with their broadcast in Zimbabwe anchored in a partnership with ZTV.

Kwesé TV said they will broadcast all 64 FIFA World Cup matches live in Zimbabwe.

Kwesé TV is a Zimbabwean satellite and broadcasting network owned by Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, under Econet Media.

The matches will be broadcast on all the Kwesé digital platforms that range from the Kwesé satellite TV to mobile devices via its newly-launched ‘Kwese-iflix’ mobile App.

Speaking at a media launch in Harare, Head of Kwesé TV in Zimbabwe, Dorothy Zimuto, confirmed the developments.

“We are proud to announce that following our recent licensing for content distribution, webcasting, and video-on-demand, we will be bringing the best World Cup experience ever to Zimbabweans on all our Kwesé platforms.

“We will bring you the best of the action through our Kwesé satellite service and through the Kwesé TV Everywhere App that gives extended viewing on up to four mobile devices tethered to the satellite account).

“Customers will also be able to catch all the World Cup action through our Kwesé digital platforms, namely KweseESPN, Kwese.com and Kweséefied sites, through the Kwesé-Free-to-Air Service (FTA) on local TV, via the national broadcaster ZBC.’’ — KweséTV.
