DYNAMOS chairman Kenny Mubaiwa says his participation at the Caf seminar on Club Licencing and professionalism in football will provide a platform to share experiences with leaders from some of the elite clubs on the continent.
Mubaiwa is set to leave for South Africa this morning for the two-day seminar that will begin in Cape Town tomorrow.
All the expenses for the trip are fully paid for by Caf and delegates will return on Sunday after watching the CHAN final.

The DeMbare boss will be among the leaders of 37 football teams that have been invited and is expected to address delegates on Friday on the legal issues concerning clubs and status of players.

The two-day seminar, which is the first of its kind in Africa, seeks to equip participants with the requisite knowledge and information about club licensing and the tenets of the fast-growing professionalism in football.

The seminar will be supervised by Caf president, Issa Hayatou, with support from members of the organisation’s executive committee and Danny Jordaan, president of Safa.

“It’s an honour to be part of this event.
Not all clubs were invited to this seminar and it makes us feel happy as the Dynamos family that we are one of the elite clubs that have been recognised by Caf.

“There are many topics that are going to be discussed and I hope we will benefit a lot from this seminar as a club.
“I am also happy that I have been given the opportunity to address the participants on Friday on legal issues and status of players.

“We will exchange notes as leaders on the challenges that we face and how best we can go about solving them.
“Football is evolving fast and we will also discuss to see whether we are encountering the same problems in our respective countries,” said Mubaiwa.

DeMbare, Primeiro de Agosto of Angola, Zambia’s Zesco United and the pair of South African giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will represent the Southern Africa region at the seminar.

Top clubs like Al Ahly, Raja Casablanca, Esperance, TP Mazembe, Asec Abidjan, Hearts of Oak and Nigeria’s Enyimba will also be represented.

Various speakers will take to the podium to lead the discussions on different subjects.
Zambia legend Kalusha Bwalya will moderate on how to nurture young players within a club.

The other topics on the agenda include professional development of clubs, infrastructure development, television rights, marketing and sponsorship, role of Caf, federations, leagues and clubs in Club Licencing and an analysis of the Club Licencing in other confederations.
Meanwhile, Dynamos are set to host Chapungu at Gwanzura this afternoon in a friendly match.

The match, which is one of the three warm-up games scheduled ahead of the start of the Champions League preliminary round, will kick off at 2pm.

DeMbare have also lined up another match against army side Black Rhinos in Kadoma on Saturday and against ZPC Kariba at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
