GOVERNMENT has restored access to areas cut off by landslides recently following heavy rains in areas like Mola, Mayovhe and Chalala paving way for the inoculation of frontline health workers.

The private contractor engaged by Government working with Nyaminyami Rural District Council removed the debris that covered sections of the Siakobvu-Bumi Hills Road including the treacherous Ndepa Escarpment last week.

Nyaminyami RDC chief executive Mr Cletus Matingwina confirmed the development saying works continue as the first step was to restore access.

“The team is still on the ground to ensure that the affected areas especially at Ndepa on the Matusadonha Mountain Range is secure for time to come,” he said.

A team to vaccinate frontline health workers was in the areas left out during the first administration of Covid-19 jabs at Mola, Mayovhe and Chalala clinics among others since the beginning of the week.
