LOCAL businessman Dr Mike Joka has been named the JCI Most Creative Entrepreneur for the Year 2012.
The accolade was presented to the founder of the diversified Corporate 24 hospital group in Harare at the weekend in recognition of the success he has achieved as a progressive young entrepreneur. Other notable achievements for the enterprising doctor include the ZNCC Businessman of the Year (Harare) and second ZNCC National Businessman of the Year for 2012.
Dr Joka (34) is the chief executive and founder of Ultracorporate Medical Services Group, the holding company with investments in various turnkey hospital projects.

Corporate 24 Medical Centre offers a one-stop service ranging from emergency to walk-in, pharmacy, laboratory, X-rays, ultrasound scanning, travel vaccinations and a coffee shop. The hospital group is on an expansion drive and is rolling out more state-of-the-art facilities in Bulawayo, Marimba and Eastlea. Dr Joka’s other interests are in the Pinwood Hardware and Electrical chain.

The JCI award recognises creativity, innovation of young entrepreneurs, financial performance of their companies, corporate strategic focus and corporate social responsibility among the youth.
