Hadebe’s MLS club fires coach Teenage Hadebe

TEENAGE Hadebe’s Major League Soccer side Houston Dynamo have fired head coach Tab Ramos following a poor run of results in the just-ended season in the United States.

The club announced on their website that Ramos’ contract will not be expended beyond this season after finishing bottom of the pile in the 13-team Western Conference.

Houston lost their last four matches of the season, which ended yesterday with a 0-2 defeat at CF Montreal.

“Ramos’ contract expires at the end of the 2021 season and will not be extended. Additionally, the Club will not extend the contracts of assistant coaches Omid Namazi and Martin Vazquez,” the club said.

Ramos is a big admirer of Hadebe and had to move mountains to bring the towering defender from Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor this year.

The 26-year-old Zimbabwe international made 17 appearances continuous for Houston Dynamo before he picked up an ankle injury that ruled him out for the remaining four league matches.

But Hadebe had done enough to justify US$1,65 million move from Turkey as he has been nominated for two MLS End of the Year awards. Hadebe is vying for the MLS Defender of the Year and the Newcomer of the Year accolades.
