ROYAL Classic director Ranganai Chatura said normalcy is set to return to the club after they engaged the services of Terrence Mhiripiri as their new head coach.
The World Navi Northern Region Division One club has been without a coach since Mapiye Kapinde last month after falling out with Chatura.

Chatura, who is also the team manager, had been in charge of the team, yesterday confirmed they have roped in Mhiripiri to try and ensure the club is not relegated at the end of the season.

“The team is okay now, it’s only that we needed a coach and Terrence Mhiripiri has been in charge of the team since last week.
“He was in charge of the weekend’s game.

“Since we have junior players we just need someone who can develop the team. He is doing his job without any pressure.

“We spoke and agreed on what we want as a club and as long as he works according to that agreement we have no problem.

“We just need to maintain out culture as a club, that’s our concern and we know we will survive relegation,” Chatura said.

Royal Classic have two wins and 13 defeats out of the 15 matches they have played and are languishing at the bottom of the table.

But, refreshingly, they are not giving up hope that they can fight their way out of the relegation waters and live to fight another day in Division One.

Meanwhile, Black Mambas coach Thulani Sibanda, says his team is making good progress in the tough league but now wants his boys to get a string of good results in the coming assignments.

Mambas managed to hold on to their sixth place when they beat DStv Rangers 2-0 in their last game and Sibanda said they were focusing on ensuring that the team maintains the winning formula.

“To get a solid winning formula is what we are looking at. If we get a solid winning formula we will, maybe, win more games and play well up to the end of the season.

“We don’t know what playing well will give us at the end of the season. Whatever we get we will accept it but we want to try and see how we improve with each day,” said Sibanda.

The Mambas gaffer believes he has a strong squad and will just make two additions to the team.

“We are looking at bringing in two guys, one defender from Bulawayo and one striker, basically those two.

“Mambas is not a team that you can overhaul. It’s a team that has always been playing well, you just need to make one or two additions and still maintain what was there.

“It’s a team that was doing well and I came in to add one or two things which I felt, according to my philosophy, needed to be introduced.

“And the players are responding well. I think we will improve,” said Sibanda.
