GOSPEL music fans will have a mixed musical dish when heavy- weights Pastor Charles and wife Olivia Charamba, Blessing Shumba and Bethan Pasinawako-Ngolomi perform during the “Mega Miracle Crusade” to be held at Zengeza 2 Soccer Grounds in Chitungwiza starting today until Saturday.

Probably one of the biggest outings by the Charambas in the dormitory town since the release of Pastor Charamba’s album “WeNazareta” last year, it also marks their “homecoming” to Chitungwiza. This is where the couple started their music fortunes and a strong fan base before they relocated to Harare.

The high-riding Mutare-based Blessing Shumba said he would use the Chitungwiza leg as a way of obliging his fans in the town and also a chance to sample some new songs taken off his forthcoming album due for release sometime this year.

“This crusade is a chance for us to preach the gospel through music, while at the same time we are going to play all those songs that people are in love with, and these include those from our current album ‘NdiJesu’ as well as some new ones like ‘Zvapera’,” Shumba said.

Another group that is set to make the three-day praise and worship event memorable is none other than the multi-talented outfit Extreme Afrique that comprises the likes of diva Bethan Pasinawako-Ngolomi and former Orchestra Mberikwazvo band members, drummer Obert Gomba and chanter Jonas Kasamba.

Lyton Ngolomi, speaking on behalf of the group, said: “God has given us a chance to minister in Chitungwiza and we are happy that Jonas Kasamba and Obert Gomba are part of this religious group and Bethan is going to s ample her new song ‘Vavengi’ which is a duet which she did with Kasamba. The song is going to feature on her forthcoming album.”

Better Muhenyeri, who is the spokesperson for Kingdom Reigners International Ministries – who are the organisers of the crusade – said the event will be held under the theme “Developing a Royal Culture, Creating Royal Value” as a way of reminding people that they were born victors.

“We all belong to the royal family, which is the family of God and therefore the devil has no power over our lives. We are saying we can conquer and succeed in life, so there will be a lot of miracles, healing and deliverance that our leader, Prophet Tamuka Shoko, and Prophetess Charity Shoko will perform during the crusade,” he said.

The ministry was formed in Chivhu in 2012 before spreading its wings to Harare.
