Following a successful show held in Mbare in March, the dancehall mini festival dubbed “Ghetto Tour” has now focused its attention on Mabvuku where another event is set to be held today at Mabvuku 1 Grounds.
The event which will see more than 20 of Zimbabwe’s finest dancehall talents clashing to mesmerise dancehall lovers, is set to create a positive party mood for the weekend as the previous one left fans asking for more.

Event organiser Rogers Chinoperekwei of Divine Promotions said the event has been tailor made to make sure the whole family can enjoy the fiesta because it is going to be staged during the day.

“The event is going to kick-off at 12 noon, which means anyone is able to attend and I think the whole family can come and have fun and for those who want to see the night away, they are in for a treat as well because the show will continue into the night,” he said.

Chinoperekwei said the event is going to have tight security as he wants to deter hooliganism which has been slowly creeping into dancehall events.

“We have arranged tight security because we only want those who are interested in the growth of the music to be part of the event and we believe music should be uniting people rather than dividing them,” he said.

Chinoperekwei also indicated that the “Ghetto Tour” was going to move to all ghettos across the nation to give fans the opportunity to meet their dancehall icons.

“We are not only going to end in the capital but we will make sure we visit even the smallest towns in the country as long as there is a ghetto.

“So fans in Sakubva, Mkoba, Emganwini and everywhere else should expect us anytime soon,” said Chinoperekwei.

The “Ghetto Tour” has roped in almost all the top dancehall artistes such as man of the moment Soul Jah Love, Seh Calaz, Lady Squanda, Dadza D, Tally Bee, Jah Drug and many more who are going to thrill the fans.
