Fill your heart with the Word of God, create great things

I will use Isaiah 55: 8-11 as the main reference verses in this article and it says, “8. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My Ways, says the LORD. 9. For as the heavens are higher than the Earth, so are My Ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. “10. For as the rain comes down and the snow from Heaven and returns not thither, but waters the Earth and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater. 11. So shall My Word be go forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but is shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

When it comes to Faith, we need the kingdom kind of thinking; which is different from humanly type of thinking. In the above verses, God is emphasising that His thoughts are different from the human thoughts. Since His thoughts are different from that of man, God is telling us that whatever He speaks, which is a product of His thoughts, will come into existence or fruition.

These verses also implicitly tell us that very often the words of man doesn’t create what it purpose to.

Humans often speak, trying to create something, but what they speak do not always come into existence. Since whatever God speaks occurs as He intends, it means there is something different about Him compared to man. Here, the secret is revealed that God’s thoughts are more advanced than humans’ just like as the heavens are higher than the Earth. We need to unravel and understand how the thoughts of God are different from the thoughts of man.

Basically our thoughts (as humans) are different from God’s thoughts in the sense that we tend to be programmed in our thinking pattern based on how we were raised. The things that were inculcated in us are the ones that dominate in our thought processes and system.

What we eventually talk most of the time is inclined or in line with our dominant thought processes. In Matthew 12: 34 the Bible says, “ . . . out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh”. This means that if your heart is filled with poverty, in a favourable atmosphere like a church, you might declare that I will succeed, but when things become tough a little bit, your mouth will utter the real stuff inside of you — poverty related stuff rather than success.

In Luke 5: 4-9, we see that Peter was programmed that fish are caught in the evening not during the day, but Jesus taught him that fish can be caught through the Word of God — through a spoken Word. When Jesus told him to launch his nets to catch the fish, he doubted and mentioned that they tried all night to no avail. He implied that how can he catch fish during the day, when he had failed during the night. To show that he had a small grain of faith, he said “nevertheless at thy Word I will let down the net”.

Jesus demonstrated to Peter that the Word of God creates and that it is imperative to remove humanly pattern of thinking and follow the Word of God. The challenge is that most people see things based on the way they were raised and in accordance to their acquired knowledge rather than through what the Word of God says.

Many people do not know the promises of God laid out in the Bible. In John 14: 13, Jesus taught us that, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in My Name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” Though the Word is clear that whatsoever you desire, you will get it when you ask it from God, we often tend to use our knowledge.

For example, someone who wants a car, will tell himself that he needs to save money first before acquiring the car. When the focus shift from the car to money, a hindrance is introduced. Just declare what the Word says — the very thing you want in your heart.

I want to emphasise that speaking what is not in your heart will not create anything. You need to meditate upon the promises of God and internalise them and when you speak, then you create things. Meditate about the things that you want and when they fill your heart, then speak it.

The secret is to fill your heart with scriptures that talk about your desire(s) before you speak not the other way round. The Heaven is shaken by words that are derived from your heart, not by the mere words from your mouth. We see God (in Joshua 1: 8) teaching Joshua to meditate upon the Word, so that he could internalise the promises and declare them into life.

Joshua was obedient and he was prosperous all his life. Meditation and internalisation of things that you want and that you have been promised by God ushers prosperity and good success. Stop meditating about poverty, because it will manifest in your life. Fill your heart with what God said you are and what you can do.

For example God said, you shall be the head and not the tail (Deuteronomy 28: 13). Meditate verses like Mark 10: 27, which assure you that for with God all things are possible. When you are filled with the promises of God, begin to create things. Don’t create things when your heart is filled with negativity.

Verbosity in prayer in which you speak things that are “nice” to hear will not work when those things are not internalised in your heart. You need to pray for things that are already in your heart — this implies that when something is not yet in your heart, just be silent.

There are many people who pray “emotional prayers” uttering the very things that they doubt when they are out there. Their prayers do not yield much because deep in their hearts, they doubt what they pray about. Note that the heart is heard by God more than mere words uttered.

When rains come on Earth, it doesn’t come with grass, but the grass/seed in the Earth will germinate. Therefore, prayer doesn’t make things happen, unless there is a seed or something in your heart that will spring into life after prayer. Even if you pray for it several times, when something is not in your heart, then it will not come to pass.

In a war situation, the ground force may call for reinforcement and the air force will come and bomb the enemy, but note that for them to get help, they need to be in action. Therefore, Pastors come to assist you, but you are the one who would be fighting your battle/war. When a helicopter bombs the enemy, it goes, but the ground force will continue to fight — thus when you get reinforcement, you should continue to fight.

Even when Pastors come to help you — what is in your heart is what will manifest, so you need to raise your faith. The humanly thinking pattern emphasise logic rather than faith.

Therefore, when one wants something, for example a house, he tends to reason too much — for instance, how will I raise the required resources? I want to advise you not to be limited with what you have. When you fill your heart with something, God always performs the miracle of multiplication which enable what is in your heart to manifest.

The economy of God is different from the natural economy. In John 6: 5-13, we are taught about the economy of God and the miracle of multiplication. Philip reasoned and said, “Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.”

However, when Jesus learnt that there was a boy with five loaves and two small fishes, He devised a divine plan that defies the human logic. About five thousand men were fully fed by the five loaves of bread and two fishes and to further blow away the human logic, twelve baskets were filled with leftovers.

Therefore, I believe you can accomplish much with what you have if God is in it, for He is a God who cause miracles of multiplication. If you want to accomplish great things in life, then the way you think must be aligned with the Word of God. The way you think must be tandem with the desires of your heart, even though you might not have the resources.

If you look at your purse you might not do anything, but when speak what you want in your heart, and start to do with what you have, you will experience the miracle of multiplication. Always remember that “For with God, all things are possible” Mark 10: 27.
