ED’s Chicken Inn stop-over leaves lasting impression Cde Nduna

Blessings Chidakwa in Chegutu
President Mnangagwa’s recent impromptu stop-over to buy food at Chicken Inn in Chegutu has left a lasting impression among residents in the town. The visit, according to zanu-pf Chegutu West House of Assembly candidate Cde Dexter Nduna, showed that the President was a man of the people, who deserved to be voted into office for the good of the nation.

Addressing a rally in Chegutu recently, Cde Nduna said the visit was a sign of the President’s humility, which has since touched lives of many in the area.
“He has done a historic thing for people of Chegutu,” he said.

Cde Nduna said the President decided to wait for his turn in the queue to buy food at a local food outlet.
“He may be worried eating at other places, but in Chegutu he was comfortable, showing that he trusts us. So in return, let us also offer him our maximum support in the elections.”

Cde Nduna urged the electorate to vote for people with a traceable revolutionary history.
“Our President is a man of unquestionable credentials, with a well traceable history in the struggle for the country’s liberation,” he said.

“He survived many assassination attempts for the sake of this nation. Vote for such a leader who is tried and tested.”
An aspiring councillor Cde Tatenda Gwinji said President’s stop-over was historic. “It was unheard of in Zimbabwe that a President stands in a queue to buy food and as a nation, we are more than blessed to have a leader like President Mnangagwa,” he said.

“Our President is a different man all together, who interacts with everyone and every right thinking Zimbabwean should emulate him.”
The ordinary people in Chegutu are still amazed by President Mnangagwa’s visit, saying he had proven that he was a man for the people.
