IN-FORM body-builder Noah Dzvokora successfully defended his Givemore Marume senior men body-building title with an outstanding show at the Zimbabwe College of Music on Saturday. 

The 32-year-old Chitungwiza-based hulk showed he has what it takes to be a serial champion when he took to the stage to defend his title. He had everything the judges were looking for and was happy to win the title for the second year running. 

“I am happy to have won this title for the second time. I worked hard during my preparations and all the hard work paid off. At first I was not sure if I was to compete but I gave it a shot and it paid off. 

“I am grateful to everyone who supported me during the preparation and the organisers as well,” said Dzvokora. 

Dzvokora got the better of Francis Chideme of Harare who was one of the tournament pre-favourites. 

Another seasoned campaigner Aaron Musarurwa of Harare came third with James Tashera of Mashonaland West and Delan Dzapasi also from Harare completing the top four and five respectively. 

The Junior Men Body-building was won by Tashera who had a bright start after he got the better of Aaron Musarurwa and Prince Moyo. 

The top five of the junior men’s body-building was completed by Clinton Muchemenyi of Harare and Hamilton Munashe Chimbwanda of Norton. 

Women Fit Model was won by Modest Dlakama as Zambian Martha Favour Ngoma was crowned the women’s bikini fitness ahead of Yeukai Midzi of Gweru. 

Ngoma continued with her dominance ahead of Midzi after she came out tops in the Women Wellness. 

Zambian athletes who participated in the event had Amon Mugaza winning the Men’s Physique ahead of countrymen Shadreck Mwaba and Zimbabweans Weignrace Masendeke, Blessing Itai Sithole, and Tinashe Mamvura.
