HARARE giants Dynamos will tread with caution in the semi-finals of the NetOne OneWallet Cup set for Sunday at Mandava after they were paired with giant-killers How Mine.
The draw was conducted at the Harare Showgrounds yesterday and the other semi-final will pit Joey Antipas’ Chicken Inn with Triangle.
Both matches will be played at Mandava on Saturday and Sunday.

The teams were not seeded.
“How Mine are tricky opponents. Remember they are the same team that ousted us from the Mbada Diamonds Cup last year, so we are not going to take any chances against them this time around, no matter how badly they are playing,” said DeMbare vice-captain Thomas Magorimbo.

“In fact, we cannot compare the league competition and cup games. Teams change strategies, especially when they are playing against Dynamos. So we need to be at our best.

“We need to concentrate the whole 90 minutes. I also feel the match has to be decided during regulation time because penalties are tricky,” said Magorimbo. Triangle captain William Mapfumo said the Lowveld side were hoping to bounce back from defeats by Highlanders and Dynamos in their last two league outings.

“I think every team in the league is strong. So I feel this is the right time to meet Chicken Inn and hopefully we will win. We have a strong team so we are not afraid of anything.

“A cup game is different from a league game. We are expecting a tough game but I am sure we are going to win,” said Mapfumo.
Triangle beat Harare City 7-6 on penalties in the quarter-finals after the match had ended 1-1 at Mandava.

Chicken Inn, on the other hand, were 1-0 winners over FC Platinum and will be hoping to continue with their good run on Saturday.
The OneWallet Cup, which is sponsored to the tune of US$500 000, will see the winners pocketing US$80 000.

The losing finalists will walk away us$50 000 richer, while the losing semi-finalists will pocket US$30 000.
Harare City, Chicken Inn, Highlanders and CAPS United will each get US$20 000 for their participation in the eight-team tournament.
